Default K&N drop-in and a MIT worth it?

I want to know if doing a K&N drop-in filter and a MIT tube is worth it. I dont really race my truck at all. maybe once or twice a year for fun.
but I do tow alot, big loads... cars, big boats, etc.
I am also going to do a hooker aero chamber muffler too.

is the MIT worth it for towing? will it hurt my towing?
when I put the K&N drop-in filter in, I actally feel like i lost just a little bit of kick when I tip in quickly on the gas. is that a good thing, or a bad thing?

if nothing else you can pick up some mpg. i've never heard of anyone losing hp from a filter change. aftermarket MIT tube will flow a little better than stock. i think they are both worth the money.
