Default Just recieved Nelson Tune

I just installed my Nelson Tune about 2 in the morning on Saturday. My acceleration still feels about the same but my shifts are incredible. I was very impressed with that. My friend and I raced and he has a 5.3 and we take off about the same and then when i shift i jump on him good. Do yall know if it takes a while for the tune to learn itself? After I put miles on it will it run different? Any how I don't regret getting it. I'll take it to the track in a couple of weeks and see how it does.

Yes, once the tune is installed and you hammer it, it will feel slow, just get some miles on it with some WOTs in every once in a while, it will strengthen up real nice.

I will prolly be able to tell by the end of the week. Is it bad for the transmission for how hard it shifts. I think he took 60-70 percent TM off of it. I love my first to second shift....pulls real hard. I just took a pic of my truck and I will try to get it on here.

If you're stock, it won't hurt the transmission at all. It's actually better for your AT cuz the shifts are much quicker under load. That means it won't wear out as quickly

Okay thats good to know. I just raced my friends Titan. He has true duals and a K&N FIPK. He kicked my *** the last time we raced. We raced about three times. I did better leaving it in drive than shifting gears. We took off and I was by his door and then I shifted and jumped close to even and then he pulled a little more and about 90mph I was at the back of his truck. I was happy even though I didn't beat him. More props to Nelson.
