I do know what you guys are talking about with the exhaust leak, it has happened to me before> I am like 99% positive that it is not a leak, but i will check that again. I did not soak the lifters they were not brand new, i had them in my 6.0 about a year ago so they have not been used since then. So that could be a problem. Also i have the comp 7.4 push rods with these lifters, I was told they work together?

I am going to try to get a short video up today so someone can hear it better, don't know how good my cameras mic is though.

Good Luck man, i had all those issues, loose rockers, then bad lifters, but they had 180,000 on them LOL. You did lock tite the rockers correct?

I just put a new set of LS7 lifters in my LQ4 im swapping in, i let them soak over night before install but its been a few days, so hopefully they arent noisy.

I bet you'll be fine after they pump up. Just take it easy till they do.

Lifters will go at half the rhythm of the crankshaft (4 cycle engine). Here's a bad lifter in a lsx motor to compare: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTDaq1tY7tY

ahh, i hope that's not it. I noticed that my tick is a lot faster and more high pitched than that sound from the corvette. I was always told that rod bearings and main bearings will be a more deep tone compared to a bad lifter sound. Who knows how true that is though
