I picked up 25 rwhp and 43 rwtq from the following mods:

Intake work similar to K&N fipk
FloPro HD muffler
Dyno tune from MTI

The tune is conservative and I am quite sure I could have got more out of it. Have fun!

I gained 20 rwhp and 25 rwtq from a dyno tune from Fastchips here in Tulsa. The tune was a bit conservative also.
I now have K & N 77 series intake
2 flowmaster 40's x-pipe and dumped exhaust
Dyno tune
With these mods I gained .9 seconds in the 1/4 and 6 mph from 88 to 94

What did MTI charge you for a tune?

Nelson Tune
Volant CAI w/ ram air
Stock exhaust

Rolling on 20's : 14.32 1/4 mi.
Had Nelson do a live street tune. The best kind in my book. Allen Nelson even told me it's better than a dyno tune. He told me I could swing on in at his shop in San Antonio to have it put on the dyno for no extra charge and compare stock vs. his tune.
Just look at my 1/4 mi time and my mods.
Not to knock any other tuners or other VHO owners, but just take a look at thier times and then mine. It's all in the tune. That's on instant green tree too. Reaction time was a little rough (.4 something).
Nelson's tune may be more than some, but well worth it in my book.
Plain and simple....he knows what he's doing.
It's a 93 oct tune with 30% of TM still present. Cushion still in the tune.
Good luck with choosing mods! It's all trial and error.

More than likely yes. The tuning is the most crucial part. I would look into exhaust upgrades and then a good dyno/street tune.

It was $350 + $75 for the dyno time. This was a special they were running almost a year ago.

Awesome! Any weight reduction for that run?

Exclamation

Lost the tailgate, jack / tire tools, and spare tire.
On my last run I ran with the tailgate on and ran a 14.4....something.
Guess the tailgate doesn't hurt you by much.
We need to gather up sometime soon and go to the track together. TxSilverado went with me last time. There were quite a few others there that post from this site too.
We need to gather everyone up and head down to HRP (Houston Raceway Park).
What do you all think?
