Thanks for the kind words everybody. They are GM truck 05+ efans, they require a truck 34" radiator, a fan harness (I got mine from Nelson Performance), and computer tuning to turn them on and off at pre-determined temps. A less expensive route would be to go with LS1 fans, retain your 28" radiator, fab up some brackets, and get the afore mentioned harness and tuning Oh yea, I got mine at G&R a few years ago, not sure how many they have in stock any more.

Good question, I have an '03 Z71 and would like to do an e-fan upgrade as well.

So far my parts list consists of:

Nelson Performance wiring harness
05+ e-fans
PCM programming
34" Radiator

34" rad started in 05

if you have an 04 then you need the ls1 fans, a harness, and some mechanism for turning them on, pcm tuning being the best option but you could use a standalone controller.

I believe that the Denali has the 6.0 right? Therefore, you already have the the 34" rad so...

05 efans can be anywhere from $150-$250
Nelson harness $100 shipped, or build your own
Tuning usually around $250ish, or if you already have efileve or hptuners, then tuning is free

as for net HP, I'm not sure since I haven't dyno'd since my swap, but they should be good for a mpg or two since there's less drag on the engine also...

I'd agree with that

yes, it's the 6.0L engine, and I know the newer models put more power to the wheels and I'm guessing that the fan is one of those power sucks...

does anyone have some relative info as to what added benefits? I know HP is relative based on the tune, but the fan itself should be good for "x" HP, right?

also, is this added wear on the electrical system? those fans pull some amps

i saw a guy blow an alternator searching around but i think the 5.3 has a smaller one than the 6.0. im looking to install e-fans myself when it gets nicer out.

I went with the larger 145amp alt (that I think you already have), and havan't had any issues so far. The voltmeter used to dip when the fans first hit, but I upgraded the B+ wire to the back of the alternator and that seems to have remedied that issue.
