Default This isn't a 04 thermostat is it?

I pulled my stat out to put in a 160* stat from slp and the stat I took out was connected to the housing. I have an 04 and I thought that on the 04's they are seperate and that I could just get the stat and not the housing?

i ordered a 160 thermostat from hypertech, from texas-speed, and i pulled my old stat out, and went to put in the hypertech, and the damn thing would not fit! the "towers" sat a little to wide. I called them up, and they explained that there are two different styles of water pumps, he explained that my 04 has the ls2 style, not sure man, i was stumped on it.

Same here, I had my truck apart and I was going on vacation the next day and the company I dealt with sent me the wrong one at first, so they overnighted me the correct one and everything was all good. I am just amazed that Chevy did this only in the 04's
