Default Irratic Idle / Tick - Help me brain storm

2001 5.3 with 228R and TSP Stg 2.5 PRC heads dual valve springs, ls7 lifters, 7.4 push rods, stock lifters, ARP rod bolts, longtubes, full exhuast, no cats, Walbro 255 fuel pump

My truck has been sitting over the winter, and when I went to start it up, it was initially okay. I started up a few weeks later and the idle was not right. It sounded kinda like a Harley, like it had 2 cylinders.

I have a tick coming from the exhaust which can be heard in the engine, sounds like the drivers side. It is not a consistent tick, but irratic (always there). The idle is off, it sounds "sick. (not in a good way) "

I changed the oil since it has been in there for sometime. No metal shaving on the oil plug, but some metallic residue, like graphite lube. Changed the plugs (fouled), checked the intake gasket for a leak. Did not help? The O2 were black, I cleaned them, and it is running REALLY rich! It hurts my eyes. Something is really wrong.

Is it the O2's? Lifters? Should I do a compression test?

No codes????

Thanks for the help.

Maybe one of the injectors has gummed up from the sitting. Might even be the ticking. Run some injector cleaner through it?

Have you tried to drive it to see if it clears up?

I have put some SeaFoam in the gas tank, let it idle and get it up to temp. I have revved it in the 5000 rpm range. Tick it still there. It struggles to stay alive after I rev it.

I stethoscoped the injectors and they all sounds the same ????

I'd honestly take it for a long drive and see what happens. My truck does funny things after sitting for a bit and it has always cleared up.

I need a new set of wheels first. One wheel is cracked over the winter. I hate living up north, because my truck breaks when it sits. I never had my truck down when I was in TX.
