Default intake manifold

im trying to figure out what intake manifold to go with for my 5.3 build this summer. im going to have some ported and milled 862s, 226/230 cam on 111 lsa and I would really like to go with either the vic jr. or proflow xt. my truck weighs right under 4000 lbs and i have 4.10s, 28'' slicks and im getting a circle d 3600 stall. so which intake and why?

Yea I was thinking that but with the gearing, stall and nitrous I think I can make up for the loss in bottom end and have Hella top end

Id go with the FAST 102mm LSXRT truck intake, no losses, just gains.

dark halo ( A MEMBER HERE ) well used to be, hadnt seen him in awhile, we used to race each other every weekend he had the proflow and i tell yeah his truck hauled azz, he was running 12.1xs in somewhat warm weather.. he just couldnt beat me lol personally if its setup right i dont think you would loose anything, like you mentioned with what youre wanting to do and the right stall i think you would be good to go but then again thats just my opinion

That's a sweet intake, but as mentioned, it's super pricey. Still, I'd like to get one some day The TBSS intake has been showing nice gains, and I'm pretty sure you could do the swap for a lot less than the Fast 102.

proflo xt. all horsepower, no losses. just make sure your tune is adjusted for the intake on a dyno and street. that seems to be the problem people have. not many have experience with the proflo so mail order tune wont be sufficient. good luck and have a blast
