And for desTRUCKtive the water pump pulley is pressed on it is not going anywhere.

you guys are making this way too hard. What you need to do is spray some PB blaster on the nut,and wait about 15-20 minutes, put your wrench on the nut holding the fan on, and then hit that bitch with a sledge hammer. It will come right off. Worked great for me. Also MAKE SURE you are trying to loosen it in the correct direction which is to the left if you are looking at it from the front of the truck. Good luck

Thanks for the tips.

I'll put the tensioner and belt back on. I need a 1 &7/16 wrench though. What really pisses me off is that I have like 4 - 1 &5/16 wrenches & smaller. One day I will need a 1 &5/16 wrench and on that day I will have nothing but 1 & 7/16 wrenches. My dads shop is a mess.

I just sprayed some PB blaster on the nut,than took a pipe wrench and hit it with a rubber mallet..It came right off..
