Default installed magnaflow exhaust

ive had the magnaflow catback on for about a week now but havent driven the truck much but the sound is pretty good.id prefer a little bit louder tho.very little interior resonance but what im dissapointed in is it almost seems to have lost some power.cant quite tell for sure but doesnt seem to wind up the same.was wondering if anyone that has a magnaflow could tell me if it will get any louder as i drive it more or if it may take a little to notice any power.thanks

Not to change the subject and avoid your questions, but could you tell me how close the muffler is now to your driveshaft? I just installed a Magnaflow catback on my '04 Sierra last night, and I think it's just too close. I haven't driven it yet, but I believe I have the system adjusted as much as it can be.

the magnaflow has a break-in period.. the more you drive it the louder it will get... i didnt feel a loss in power though, thats kinda odd, i never heard of that with a magnaflow before.

Some times when you add exhaust it will feel down on power until you get used to it.

In actuality you probably picked up 12-15 rwhp and tq but it shifted your entire power band so now it screams up top but feels kinda mushy down low.

For example I went to the track with my stock exhaust and ran. I then unbolted my exhaust (Left the exhaust on the truck) and ran 2/10 and 2+ mph faster even though it felt slower.

Trust me your faster!
