Thats what I like to hear. I'm trying to get a friend to buy these... Ideally the 1 7/8" set up but I'm nervous about their fitment on a 4x4.

Again.. I will try and get pics but have been busy.. It is tight around the driveshaft but as long as you leave EVERYTHING loose as you put it all together, you can shift stuff around and make it fit really nice. The entire Y pipe system fits tight everywhere really but it does clear.

That is the same experience we have found. With the band clamps you have alot more room to adjust everything for additional clearance. Leave all header bolts hand tight/slightly lose, 3 y-pipe band clamps all loose, adjust the fitment by hand and have a 2nd person tighten everything up while you hold it where you want it. Makes a huge difference in fitment.

I used the band clamps. I agree with the above statement. With two people I may not have had to clearance so much but on my aplication it was absolutly unavoidable. I am thinking of buying another Y-pipe and making another go at that. But with the headers there was no way around what I had to do. I know the guys at CalSpeed are top notch and investigating every issue that comes up. Jim is a great guy to deal with and make a very quality product. He spent a lot of time with me on the phone and was very concerned and receptive to what I was saying. I still owe him all my photos. The truck is apart right now so when I get it all back together I will get that stuff to you Jim.

Does the header kit include a hammer for clearancing?

Are there clearancing directions included with the install?
