Default inside 6.2 3.5 inch exhaust

here's some pics of a sierra denali 6.2 exhaust I opened up today.
I took this off a customers truck awhile back and wanted to see what is inside and how
well the stock parts might flow.
As you can see, the muffler has 3.5 inlet tube, 2 center 2" tubes and a 3.5 outlet tube, all perforated as well,
Looks like it would flow well.
The resonator from the tail pipe is interesting. It has no chambers and a spigot tube that I assume is to generate a noise cancelling sound freqency[like blowing across the top of a coke bottle] to help eliminate resonance/drone.

I got my 2010 vmax 6.2 today which has the same exhaust, I have arh 1 7/8 headers and cats to install.
Do we think the stock exhaust is going to flow enough.
I was going to remove the resonator as it is fugly, but the stock muffler may drone without it

I have always liked[and sell] magnaflow but they don't make a direct fit yet for 6.2.
IF I went with corsa I think I would go with the touring system. I know those headers/cats
would be too loud for me with a sport kit.

You find a truck yet??

I have long tubes and corsa sport on my SS and I honestly don't think its that loud, IMO. I considered electric cutouts. I found one just haven't had the time to go look at it yet. I'm working 6 days (65-70 hrs a week) the next 3-4 months so its tough.

I hear ya on the exhaust but as you know, it's subjective. I put a resonator in front of the muffler on my 08 to tone it down a bit.

Tough to work so much, try and get down to drive one of these trucks, you are going to like it

I wish you would not have shown us those pictures! I don't see performance in that exhaust. When I put the headers on my truck, I put a back pressure gauge on it and took it for a drive. At WOT and 5,000 rpm, it had less than 1 lb of back pressure which told me the stock exhaust was flowing plenty good for a daily driver. Keep posting pictures and info as you upgrade your new truck.

Just sound, I don't see it changing anything with the pressure...
