Default inline fuel pump not giving enough fuel? is something wrong?

ok, i just installed the new inline fuel pump i got from the dude who supplies magnacharger. It wasn't too difficult. My fuel pressure still drops when i floor it. I see 50ish psi at idle, 60+ at part throttle, and 45ish at wot. How can that be? Could it be my injectors? I installed them myself last summer. Maybe i fugged something up. Also, I'm still seeing huge KR numbers at wot even with 100 octane fuel. I DO think it's false, but, with the fuel pressure dropping like that, who knows

hey this might be a simple check. it is the round thing on the drivers side fuel rail with a vaccumn line going to it. remove the vaccumn line and plug it. put a piece of tape over the regf hole. then go run it and see what the fuel pressure is.

ok, i've done that before. Should I leave it plugged? I'll try it tomorrow morning and post back to let you know. So, if the fuel pressure no longer drops, what does that mean?

damn, wish i had known that long ago. When i had that vacuum reference blocked off before the fuel pressure gauge would just sit at 60psi all the time. does that mean the regulator is bad? Is it easy to change?

NAPA didn't have any so i have to order one. I capped off both sides of that vacuum reference thing today. The idle fuel pressure now reads 58ish. The pressure stays the same while driving, BUT, still dips to 45-50 at 3/4 or full throttle. Does that mean the regulator is bad? i'm gonna replace it regardless.
