Default inline fuel cooler

I know the duramax's have them but I did a search and couldn't find squat on a fuel cooler for a gas engine. Its probably not the most necessary thing in the world but I know in the summer months the lines and regulator can get pretty dang warm and it seems like if nothing else cold fuel would only help things. I've got a stock trans cooler off a NBS 3/4 ton 4L80E equipped truck and a cooler line (for the quick connect ends on it). It measures 4 1/2 x 11 inches. The flow rate on these coolers according to the flush machine is around 1 gallon per minute with room temp tranny fluid. I would imagine with gas the flow rate would be higher due to it being thinner and I think the cooler is more then capable of handling 50 psi. So my only questions are is it worth the time and effort and where is a good place to mount it? In front of the condensor would make it the most efficient but thats a lot of line to run and if I hit something a big bang theory reenactment is highly likely. Under the truck in front of the tank like the duramax's do might work out alright aside from road debris that could hit it. Opinions?

Somewhat but mostly free parts and no idea what to do with them.

This is on my 95. TBI, wet flow intake where cold fuel actually makes a pretty big difference.

It is also a waste of time, money, and effort since it will do absolutely nothing for you whereas reattaching the transfer case to the trans lets you drive your truck.
