damn that sucks. I think I'm going to look at this AC Delco pigtail to adapt them to the stock harness:

what are the advantages to swaping 8.1l injectors into a 5.3l if there are any

8.1's have a much higher flow rate

so there is no real advantage to running them on a mostly stock truck with a few bolt-ons

If you have a bigger cam or high flowing heads you'll need something larger than the 5.3 injectors to keep you A/F ratio correct.

btw, the 8.1 marine injectors are the higher flowing models, can't remember the flowrate right now

That's what I have in my truck and I have them programed at 43lbs/hr.
