Default injector offset observation

i just realized something about offset, the fbody guys have a huge chart to fill out because theirs varies with load. our doesn't. i just figured out why(doa), we have a load based fuel system, the regulator takes care of that part of the offset chart. we just need to figure out the offset.

with just one number per voltage to fill out i am just going to guess untill the ltrims are near 0. set the injector flow to what it should be mathmaticly and just work with the offset. i have noticed some of the charts i have been able to find have the same offset from 14volts up, that should help too.

i have a feeling that i could just guess a number that is closer to actual than what is in that chart right now since i went from the factroy small injectors to some heavy 50lb units. seeing what my offset works at 14volts and looking at some offsets for other injectors should get me alot closer than i am now.

Default Re: injector offset observation

When I ran my 99 LS1 injectors, I pulled the offset from an LS1 file. I just took the value at 0 load from the LS1 PCM file (ignoring the other load values) and used it for every cell in that column. That worked fine for me.

For a good reference in tuning our injectors, do some research on LT1 edit. The LT1 and our trucks PCMs handle the injectors in a similar way.
