Plus I think people are realizing that you can have a reliable setup that makes almost the same power with fewer cubes (that normally means better engine geometry) and a few more lbs of boost. That's why I voted to do my current build instead of a stroker.

408 and n2o for me, makes the most torque down low to get this pig off the line.

I have been researching for a long time and I am still undecided. It's hard for me to decide due to no local trucks to compare the different packages too. I have experimented so much with different setups on cars that I want to be sure via my truck since it is my daily driver. As of now my truck tows everything I have to tow just fine, but I fear one day I will help a friend out and find my truck struggling.

If I stay with it. I see a solid forged 408 in my future. Mild Cam, 9.5 ish compression and one of the new TVS blowers on top of it.

You can't really make that statement about hidden expense in either way. It all depends on what you want to do with it. If you get a new Radix kit, there really is zero hidden expense. If you get a used one, there could be a lot. Turbos have more hidden expenses, Stroker motors could have some, but it depends on what you ask from it.

That WAS my plan until I saw the cost of the TVS units and the availability. A little too much, a little too late.

For NA, or a n20 engine the larger cubes are the way to go, but for FI efficiency is more important.

ive always wondered why , more people done take 5.3 blocks and build 383's out of them, bore them to 3.905 with a 4in stroke crank and have a nice torque monster without having to go out and buy a 6.0L setup. And if you do it right, you can have have the whole thing done for probably 3500 or so, and thats with good parts and good heads.
