Ya I am done the small 327 I am getting ready in the next few months to purchase a LS2. I figure it is about 100-150 pounds lighter and with the headers and good tune it will put 350-360 hp to the ground. That means it will easily run mid to low 13's with stall. What do you guys all think. The swap will cost about $5500. But I can probably sell mine for like $500-$1500.
Later, Jared

you could build a nice 383 or 402/408 stroker for that amount, with some really nice heads too! You will need a tranny either way.

Yep, start looking for a tranny. Go ahead and do anything you might want to upgrade later(heads, cam). Are you extended cab or single cab? If you're regular cab, I'd say you could easily see 12s(I'm there and I don't have as much motor as you are going to have). Set up a game plan, and decide exactly what you want to do before you start buying stuff. It will save you so much trouble in the long run. Good luck.

i agree with the 402 or 408. for the money you will have more power at your disposal. granted, it would be nice to have a ls2.
