Idle Quality?

Thank you all for your replies. Yes the customer has this cam in his truck. He went with the cam for more low end torque and so he could get away with stock converter. I my self have built my fair share of race engines. But have been carbureted. So I know how much more fuel & timing to add to get it to run right. I did not think this cam was very big at all. But it shakes when it is idling in park and gets a little better in gear. I am trying to work with the tuner to get it right but so far no luck. It has 24* advance at idle the MAF is at 10g/s the MAP 40 and LONGTFT are around -9.

OK got the idle good now. But now when you start it up after it sit for 1/2 hour It starts then it stall. Start it again and it idles really low than slowly idles up. When you but it is gear it is like the IAC is not reacting fast enough it drops below desired idle than returns to desired idle.

If you have the tune file we could help you out more, does this truck have a startup airflow table?

24 advance at idle is probably not the best way to get a good idle.
