How big a shot were you running?Do you have ant idea how much timing you were running? You got lucky this time, but you need to find out what caused the problem before you kill the motor.Did you drop the plugs while you were installing them?

CRAZYCUTER4.8 killed 6 of 8 TR-6's on a 120 dry shot and 100 wet shot on the dyno. The 6 were all missing ground straps! it was nasty. You should of seen what the stock ones looked like after he sprayed about 3 bottles of 120 dry shot!
Yeah thats what I said too!

In my case when I blew a plug, piston, and etc... in my 4.8 4 days after I got the LS1 in I was getting some nast knock. It was where 2 pistons were scarred and hitting the head. It was either from the ground strap from te TR-6 I blew with the 4.8 that got caught in the head and dropepd loose on the pistons(I find that hard to believe since I had the heads machined but who knows) or the guys at the machine shop dropped some scrap down in the head and it finally dropped loose. I think it was that original TR6 from the 4.8. So know 2 of my LS1 pistons are dimpled! YYYYUUUUKK!! I would check some things to make sure!
