Angry I think i have issues with exhaust

I have a 2004 chevy ecsb 5.3, when i first bought it, i ran it down the track, and it ran a 15.7, i put on true dual, straight pipes, no cats, all the way out the back, granatelli predator diablo tune, granatelli mass air meter, aem brute force intake, jet power flow tb spacer, jba wires, bosch platinum 4 plugs, and now, it still runs a 15.7, feels hella faster down the road, i mean 2nd gear scratches, burnouts like crazy, just alot of midrange top end power, just feels like my low end is dead, im trying to figure out if i need more back pressure, - jared

what size pipe did you use with the true duel? is there an x or h in there somewhere. put the mass airflow sensor on ebay and use the money for better mods.

Default my reply

i use 2 1/2 inch piping, no x or h pipe, just straight, ive ran the truck for almost the past year, its gotten down to a 15.09 different tracks, different weather, but its colder now, round 78 degrees last run at the 15.7, humidity was low, and i know the MAF was a lil expensive, but the army pays pretty well sometimes, and i just wanted a complete intake system, all thats missing is the throttle body, but i want to get down to consistive low 15, maybe into the 14,s here sometime, i just dont want to sink ne more money into my truck, untill i figure out and resolve the issue, im a diesel mechanic, but my knowledge of torque converters is limited, ne info on how to get em, best brands, stall rpm, would be great, thank you for welcoming me, im just tired of mustangs camaros and forced inductioned imports thinking they are the baddest cars on the road, and i have no idea what im doing on alot of the custom tuning parameters with the granatelli programmer, im not a programmer, i have no experience in that, i wish there was a guide on that programmer and explanations. Shes a fast truck, beaten alot of hemis on the street, imports, other chevy's (just for fun) ne help from u guys would be great, - jared

i think she just needs a dyno, and custom tune, to figure out the power band, and where shes losing it, but yah, low end is like, not improving at all, my gears in the rear are still 3.42, non posi, but my launch isnt bad, the 60 foot time ranges from 2.3 to 2.4 not good at all

First of all I would get 4.10s in the rear and an eaton lsd. Next put an x-pipe and some mufflers on there not flowmasters though. I like the dynomax racing bullets personally. Next get a custom tune I have a Nelson tun and he is awesome at what he does, and has a huge customer base to prove it. You will feel a big difference with his tune over the programmer. Next stall wise my TCI 3000 that I had was good and didnt kill my gas mileage too much but would leave two black marks where ever I felt like it. The off the line power it gives oyu is amazing. A stall is definately one of the first mods I would do if I had to do it all over again. And welcome to the site and the addiction it has only begun. BTW get rid of that damn MAF I have one too and as soon as some retatd buys it from me I will be back to the stock one they are only good for a paperweight.
