Default I think that I have the highest IATs

With a 6.0 running 6 lbs boost. I relocated the IAT sensor into the manifold. The bypass for the Whipple is wired shut. The first thing I checked when my HP Tuners came in was my IAT. Oh, yeah, it has a Nelson tune with 42 lb. injectors, no Whipple electronics (never worked). I start the log, then start the truck. IAT 91°, same as outside. After about 15min around town, 35mph, Temp. at 171°. I go out on the highway, cruising at 65, very slight uphill. 205°, quits climbing. I have the alcohol set to start spraying at 2 psi just for this log. Next, I accelerate just enough to keep it above 2 psi for as long as possible. Temperature drops, then holds at about 170°, just for my info to know that the alcohol works if I raise boost in the future... 205° cruising?! With a 6 psi setup? I thought Whipple sold this to me because screw compressors don't heat the air as much. As much as what, a furnace? Do I get the IAT record?

Well I think that by the way that you have described your temps. I think that you have just invented a new method to roast a turkey. By the looks of it, you can have one cooked in a matter of 15 minutes. I have seen 195. but this does seems kind of high.

I am running a Kenne Bell on a 6.0 @ 6.5-7psi and have never seen temp that high even in 94 degree weather.

The highest that I have seen is 174 at the end of a 1-3rd wide open run. At Right after the wide open run they were back at 135 or so within about 2min.

What are you talking about when you say the whipple bypass is wired shut? that could have something to do with it.

I have it safety-wired so that it can't bypass, because (A), the Whipple computer was always opening the bypass under boost conditions when nothing was wrong, and (B), I don't know how to control it with the Whipple computer, since the Whipple computer is in a box somewhere in my garage. Is there some other way to operate it?

I never thought to do a search on what I just asked. I searched and found my answer. I'll bet a lot of people that get criticized for not searching also think that their problem or idea is unique.

You supercharger guys and your intake temps are just NUTS . I didn't have a way to check the temps on the turbo before I put the intercooler on, but now with an OBX, ebay cooler, I have never seen over 135*, and that was just sitting in traffic on a mid 90's day. I start to go and they cool right off. Going down the high way, running the **** out of it at 7 psi it usually only 15* over ambient. Even when I turned up the boost to 10-12 psi, it was 80* outside and made 2 back to back, 0-105mph runs and never saw more then 102* on the gauge. But the 160-180, even 200* never even come close. Must have something to do with these gutter sucker turbos .

I see about 140* at about 5psi with my foot in it. Thats straight from the turbo, no IC or anything. The charge pipe runs along side the exhaust pipe too.

I see a constant 95 - 115 crusing in 85* heat at 55 - 65mph. After a 1/4 run I see no higher than 150* in 85* ambient. Magnacharger Radix 2.9" pulley on a LQ9 cammed.
