OK, wow, this is exciting! Here's what I ordered!

1.TCI 4L60E Super Street Fighter Torque Converter, 3500 Stall Speed, 2.5:1 STR, See that STR and stall!!

2.ARP Torque Converter Bolts - M10 x 1.5 Threads, GM 200 & 700, 4L60 & 4L80, 6 Piece, Truck because the stockers will strip when I remove them.

3. B&M Supercooler Transmission Cooler, 24000 GVW, 11" x 6" x 1-1/2" , for the verter

4. Thunder racing cam. 224/224 duration @.050 with .563/.563 lift on a 112 LSA!!! Lump Lump Lump in my 293ci!! It's barely going to idle!

5.Taylor "409" Pro Race Wires, 1999-2005 GM 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L Trucks - Black

6. NGK TR55 Spark Plugs, Stock heat range, gapped at .050

7. Gasket package.

I still need to get an LS2 timing chain, longer balancer bolt, maybe a new oil pump and an oil pump pick up tube o-ring plus a Cut-out too!

You are going to be putting some big rev's on the little 4.8! BTW, what are your plans for traction? Going with a LSD and gears?

 

sounding close to my mods in my lil 4.8

mine pulled all the way to the limiter i set at 6400

 

I already have 3.73s in the rear so I'm fine there. As far as an LSD, I most likely won't soon. I'm just going to get a nice set of tires and rims, I know with an LSD my 10 bolt wouldn't be too happy. I'm going to take it easy on the launches though for now.
