Default I need more pull!(70-110ish)

So far my truck has ran like a champ from low to mid range but it seems to get kinda gutless from 70 on up. What mods do I need to get this thing going up top? I'm open to anything except for a cam or head work, I'm trying to stay away from those two things for the time being(hassle and budget). I plan on going with LS1 fans, a Dacco 2800-3200 stall, and a shift kit here shortly so I need something to add to that. I know the converter is just going to contribute to the smoke show with more low end but I feel I need it for some reason.

So far I just have a PcmForLess tune, exhaust, and Vette servo. I haven't got around to installing any of those yet but that should come sometime this week. Thanks in advance,

Cody

My truck used to be very slow in that range with the 3.42s. The 3.90s helped a ton. What gears do you currently have?

Default Get gears

Get some gears. I put 4.10s in my 5spd and od has a good bit of pull now. That should fix you up. I wouldnt get 4.10s the 3.73 or 3.90 should be plenty with an auto.

get 4.10's. 3.73 are not enough IMO for the auto. If you want to ride in my truck before you get gears and stuff let me know. I have 4.10's FULL EXHAUST NO CATS. pacesetter LT's with super 40 series flow master. Intake, tune, and few more nic naks.

I was going to suggest the same thing, but I've got alot more stuff done to mine.
4.10's were perfect in mine, and really didnt change the fuel mileage that much. I
had 3.42's before.

also, with that stall your rpms wont drop as much at the shifts...which will give you a little more pull up top.

Thanks for the responses everyone, the truck has 3.73's now and I've been wanting to go with 4.10's. gr8white, do you know of any shops around Stuttgart that could install them?

Nothing wrong with 3.73s in that light truck, you can get more bang for the buck doing differnt mods for what you would spend on gears installed.
