I just bought a 6.0 short block!

I have to go pick it up since it's in Houston and I'm in Austin. I don't have much money so this will be a slow project but I'll need to get it freshened up. I'd like to get the block machined and put new rings, bearings and rod bolts in. I'll probably pick up some 317s since they're cheap and use my cam and springs and whatever else I can from my current engine. I'd love to get some advice and tips from you guys as I do this, but first of all, does anyone have any recommendations for a machine shop in or around Austin?

I'm sure its an LQ4 although I haven't seen it yet. I went to a local machine shop and it sounds like it will be around $500 for machine work and bearings. Has anyone ever heard of Performance Machine in Hutto? I'm pretty sure I'd rather use them than Quality Engine Exchange but I'd like to hear other Austinites experience.

Of course if I ran across a cheap set of flat tops out of an LQ9 I might pick them up. Then I could run unmilled 317s. Or I could skip the pistons and use the money toward a set of 243's. I wish I could use my 706s but the work it would require would cost so much that its not worth it.
