Default I have $2000 burning a hole in my pocket.

I want a little more *** outta my 6.0! What would you buy and in what order? I was thinking, long tubes, pulleys, electric fans and maybe a cam. Will $2000 cover that? Then again I could just put 4.88 gears in to help get the 35's spinning. HEHE. So what would you suggest? Looking for the most bang for the buck.

Mods done so far: Predator, Taylor wires, dual exhaust, K&N FIPK.

I would suggest starting with the long tubes for sure than find a cam and springs for your application. It would depend on who is doing the install for you how much you would have left over. I would do fans next if the money permitted then the pulley. Let me know if we can help with any parts for you.

Thanks Nate Bonham

Keep saving for a super charger. It is worth it more than any other mod.

OK, Is Powerdyne worth $2700? Or is it a waste of money? I dont want to spend 4000-5000 on a supercharger. They claim 103 additional rear wheel hp and additional 89 pounds of torque, on a 6.0. Makes power after 2000 rpms.

Have you considered SLP rockerarms you can install them without removing the heads you will need valve springs but you don't lose any lowend power and you gain 10-12hp all the way threw your powerband.I'm a fan of ASM headers but TOG makes headers for the 6.0 specificly.UPD makes a first rate air intake. If you decide to buy a supercharger stay away from the Powerdyne and buy a Whipple or Magnacharger.A Predator would probably be a good investment too.

If you got that cash, do the gears. Your 35" tires are killing your MPG, performance, and all over driving. I read that you plan to go with 37" tires and you will for sure need more gearing.

Besides the MPG coming back to where it should be stock, you will be overgeared and will pick up some speed right there.

That is where I would start for sure. Then go with a set of TOG headers, pullies, and the slew of other bolt ons.

Did you reconsider the torque converter too? Imagine that 2600rpm stall with 4.88:1s...

The gears will give you the most bang for your buck, that is definately what you should do. I dont think you will be able to find 4.88s for your front diff though. I heard that someone makes them but im not sure. You might as well try, and if you offroad throw a locker in the back as well. That will pretty much eat up your money but that will make the biggest difference

I thought of that. But I really dont NEED to regear till I go to 37's. I am getting 12.5 to 13 mpg now with 4.10 and 35's. Drives great, just looking for more ***. But when I do regear, detroit locker, 4.88 and 2600 stall will be going in. I figured do the engine mods now, then when I go 37's do the gears. Then I will have the power on tap to go with my gearing.

You don't need the gearing true, but you may want it...

I do remember Eaton makes an E-Locker for the 9.25" IFS, which would kick *** even with the stock rear LSD. I think the new rears are around 11.5" from what I was told.

With lower gears you will not feel faster, but your speedo will show that you are.

I don't think I'd drive around with a Locker in the back, they will "crow-hop" around corners and bind. An Eaton posi with 800lbs preload springs will be nice and smooth and grip like crazy.

Your planning makes sense for a bit more power now and gears/stall later. You will still see more 0-60 performance from the gears and converter now.

I would just do some TOG headers and wait it out to do gears and converter right after. But if you are hell-bent on waiting I'd go this route: Long Tubes, Electric Fans, Bigger alternator if you go with ASP pullies as you will be hurting the charging system for sure, ported TB, larger MAF.

As Whitt said rockers help too. The SLP are nice but they are not roller tip, just roller flucrum. I'd go with a set of Yella Terra's. They are shaft mounted meaning all you need is a torque wrench to install them. You will need a set of springs for sure with any higher ratio rocker arms. I believe they come with valve cover spacers too or you will need taller valve covers to clear the Yella Terras. Either way a nice not too expensive mod.
