Default I am back on the road (again)

At 6 am today my truck came to life again. At 630 am it was on a 100 mile round trip and to my amazement it made it home with no probs!! I now have a brand new crate 6 liter with my cam and a freshly rebuilt 4L80e. I am going to break it in a little then do a dyno tune and hit the track. I wont feel as comfy spraying a big shot on stock pistons as I would forged ones, but that never stopped me before. I have missed some good racing weather this spring, due to mechanical difficulties, but hopefully it will stay together this time.

Kickass! What frictions and steels did you opt with in the tranny?

Had my first kill already!! And I haven't even floored it yet. Some punk in a 318 Dodge Durango was driving along side me last nite motioning to go. We were in traffic and ended up at a light next to each other. I rolled down the window and asked him if that thing had a hemi and he said yeah. I just said ok and rolled the window back up. When the light changed he gave it his best shot and I was just driving in my normal manner. We were side by side about 25mph and mine was still in low (probably about to shift) so I went ahead and gave it about 3/4 throttle which caused my tires to break loose and then when it hit 2nd it got a good scratch. I let off when I hit about 75 mph and I had about 5 cars on him already. He did the typically fly by then turned off shortly after. It feels like it is gonna run pretty good, cant wait to get some track numbers.

Hitman-I just went with borg warner stock stuff for now. If it will get me through the rest of this season I will beef it a little this winter. I went with a Yank pro 3400 and it seems to brake stall to around 3500 so it may launch decent at the track even with the crappy 1 st gear in the 4L80.
