Default Hypertech problem?????

hey guys i was just wondering if anyone had ever had this problem. i bought a hypertech programmer for my new 03 ZR2 s-10 and when i plug it in and it goes through its business .. after it reads my VIN and then it says " This programmer is not for this model vehicle " " please check programmer model number" . this unit is new and is not locked to a previous truck. my truck is brand new and its a 2003 model . i had checked everything, even the manufactor date which is 01/03. i have another one for my 01 SS and it works fine. what the hell is wrong??? any input???

Looks like you need to give Hypertech a call.

if the truck is a late 03 then it could be an 04. check the vin for the year. if it is an 04 then the tuner will not work.

What is the part number on the HPP3? They might have put the wrong sticker on the box or something. Hypertech will probably switch them out for you or something if you have an invoice.
