No question someone on this board will do it soon. A number of guys are figuring out what makes the 5.3l's run hard. To my knowledge nobody has built a race oriented version of these engines. All of them are streetable setups. A race prepped version of a 5.3l would blow way past the 115mph barrier, but what will impress me most is to reach the 110 goal with a streetable engine running pump gas.

I just don't see it happening on N/A 5.3....But I also wouldn't have tought I would manage 12.0's on a 6.0, stock intake and 317's trapping high 110's to mid 111's . 110 is good for 12.0's with 1.6's 60's and it seems from my experience that on the same setup the lower the 60's get mph drops some too.
So, never say never .
