That makes no sence now. I was able to take those when I had my heavy 20's on my cammed 5.3 with all the bolt ons.

that thing must have run strong. Lt1s still trap around 98-100 stock.

I Know I Know, Im Waiting For A Roll Over, But When I Was Driving Up Highway 95 To Havasu, And My Buddy Had His Camaro, He Was Hauling ***, And I Knew His Speedo Went To 150, So I Thought Here Was My Chance To See How Fast It Would Actually Go, I Stayed On His Tail, Around 120 It Was Stable, And Then I Just Kept It Pinned, The Truck Started To Like Speed Wable, Because Of The Lift, I Called On The Cell Phone And He Said He Was Doing 140, So Thats Where I Get 138 From. I Will Admit From 120 To 130+ It Was Slow Going But Did Get There.

Dude - no offense, I'm not bashing here, but yer full of chit if you say your truck hit 138mph. No 5.3 will get a full size stock truck up to 138 MPH. It's impossible. Wanna know why? I'll tell ya why - cuz the stock fuel pump and injectors cant supply enough gas to the engine. My 5.3 is dyno'd at 405 RWHP, and it starves for fuel at 118. So keep pumping your BS high school stories, but not here - these guys know too much.

Oh yeah - and the 118 MPH comes from the scan tool plugged into the truck...

Are you sure that wasnt the HPP3 fuel shut off? I thought you could only raise the limiter to 120 with it? I could be wrong though?

Well first off these trucks will run over 138 with the proper tunning, second with your hpp3 it will shut down at 128 tops,if you have 405 hp then your truck can and will easily run over the 138mph.

Now the guy with the superchips that program shuts you down at 128 as well sorry to bust your bubble. On a side note nice truck.
