Default How much is enough? Lightning?

I would like anyone who reads this to post their opinion on how much power it will take to out run a Lightning? Any experiences with these fast Fords? I would also like to know how much power everyone thinks I will make.
I will have, hopfully by the end of the summer, a LS1 with ported and polished heads, a comp cam 206/212lsa112, headers, shift kit, 4.10 gears, and maybe custom programing. A stock LS1 out of a Corvette makes around 350 hp and torque. I am hoping to make 390 hp and 400 ft. pounds.

Please answer with you opinions or suggestions.
Thank you for your time.

I'm not too sure about the hp numbers, but i just wanted to say:

KICK SOME LIGHTNING ***! <img border="0" alt="[fight]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

I'M TIRED OF THESE GUYS BUYING THE TRUCK OFF THE FACTORY ALREADY DONE FOR THEM, THINKING THEY RULE THE STREETS!! <img border="0" alt="[bullshit]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" />

SHOW THEM THAT THUNDER IS STRONGER THEN LIGHTNING

I make it a point to turn around a line up. The best part is I run through stock exhaust and still have dealer plates <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I think the Ford Spark(Lightning to Ford Whackers) blows. Every GUIDO here in Jersey who used to have a crapstang is now pimpin a Spark. I like my GMC, I built the whole damn thing myself, and its a 10th faster than good ol ford. Its nice to buy something done, but i dont respect it per se.
As for the LS1 in the truck, i think you should ad some forced induction to it. After all it is just a bolt-on. Ill leave you with this
"( 9 out of 10 Fords are still on the road....cause only one made it home.)
Blown 2001 13.3 @ 103
Next Mods, trction bars, 3200 stall convrt, slicks
P.S I have a killer 2000 Yamaha R1 for sale, anyone Interested????? Maxmumboom@aol.com
