No meth here either. 12.2 AFR at WOT, 10-11 psi. But I just have a 'lil 5.3.

isnt that a lil high on the a/f ratio, dont you want to be mid 11's?

yes, it's a little high. I run methanol over 6psi.

did you pull timing out of your motor too when you went meth? and what kind of gains do you see with meth added?

trever1t Nov 1, 2009 06:35 PM

with meth you can add timing due to the increase in Octane. I have no idea of what, if any gains Meth alone offers, I pullied down, increasing boost at the same time and have been using meth ever since.
There's a lot of info on the boards regarding the benefits of meth :)

I am not running meth but at WOT my a/f gets down to 10.2 ...I think this is a little on the rich side but works for now. I want to lean it out a bit to see if it gets a little more power.

AKlowriderZ71 Nov 1, 2009 08:57 PM

I just drove home from work and I guess my memory just isn't what it used to be. 11.2 to 11.5 at WOT.

Terravast4, how much boost do you see with that 2.8 pulley and those heads?

terravast4 Nov 1, 2009 09:09 PM

Looks like 12# max but waiting for winter to see if that changes........I will get a meth set-up in the future but for now have a very rich tune...................probably too rich

AKlowriderZ71 Nov 1, 2009 09:15 PM

Winter? Ha, that's funny for me to hear you say. 30 degrees here today. How cold does it really get there?

terravast4 Nov 1, 2009 09:31 PM

30 is probably the coldest and probably only a week or two........but it will increace boost and i am looking at 12# in 105 degrees vs. 40-50 degrees in winter. Curious to see how much it changes
