Parish thanks for the info. I think I'm going to try to get the t76 to work. If I could make 800hp then I would be pretty happy, but I would love to see that 1000 mark.
Thanks

since, like 4 people have made 1000 horsepower with one of these engines and they're pretty much all 427s or bigger, not to mention very exotic setups, with TONS of money behind them. just don't get your hopes up to high. but good luck with it either way.

i think 1000RWHP would be a very dificult mark to hit but it seems to me 1000+fly wheel hp is doable, i would like to see 800rwhp some day and thru this drive line that would have to be 1000+fly wheel i would think.

that's true....i keep forgetting you're talking about flywheel power, now i think that 800rwhp is VERY attainable. PSJ made what 746 on a blown 348 CI motor? a turbo'd 408 should hit 800rw really easy. my bad parish...i was thinking on the wrong scale.

now you saying "easy" is missing out on part of the picture too. he is going thru a 6sp, we are going thru 4l80e's, tcase, heavier rear and tires. it wont be easy i dont think.

i honestly still think it can be done a bunch "easier" than making 1k rwhp....NOW, it would probably be much easier with the same setup with a 4l60, and especially in a 6 speed. say put your setup you have in mind in a truck like mine (rcsb, auto, not 4wd) and it will make more power i guess since it's going straight to the wheels rather than to the Tcase and through that heavy *** tranny. BUT, i doubt any 60e will handle that power level with the weight of the truck.

I have a Turbo 400 if the 6 speed comment was directed to me.

To me FI + nitrous is bandied about like it's no big deal but frankly I would not mix the two.

And you will need a FAST system or some custom products like a Pro-M maf to make the stock pcm work safely.

I see a H2 over by us all the time, looks like the stock tires are like 35's.

how about in that one issue of truckin.
September 2003 i think
the black SportSide Silverado, they called it bulletproof or something.
didn't it say at the end somethin about hes gonna install some LS6 heads and make near 1000hp?
let me look.......
yea, stage III Z06 heads and a Magnuson supercharger pumping out nearly 1000hp.
i'll read you some more off polka, just incase your interested.
He did the following to his motor. (hey does this guy get on the forum perhaps????)
-6.0L
-Lunati billet crank and rods
-JE low-compression pistons
-roller rockers. (dont think you'd need that, but hey if you got the money)
-ATI porcharger supercharger
-Long tube headers
-exhaust
-Aeromotive 500 lb per house fuel pump
-52 lb injectors
-200hp shot of NOS
-FAST computer to control his components
then at the end, it mentioned,"by the time you read this, motor will have Stage III Z06 Heads and a Magnuson supercharger pumpin out 1000hp.

sorta somethin like the rest of the guys were mentioning to do, but more ideas never hurt i hope.

later

nice, not sure why but i thought all the high hp boosted guys were running sticks.

the problem with not going FI and nitrous is there are no "kits" that will support what he or I want to do. i dont have the ability to fabricate like harlan, the price to have a custom thumper set up or twin set up would be alot but if i had the cash i would sure think about it. that leaves me mixing power adders IF the single T76 wont get me to my goal. at lower power levels mixing power adders worked great for me.

That truck combo mentioned in the magazine prolly did not make 1000hp.... Sounds like 600rwhp + 200hp to me.

I'll probably hit 800rwhp next time and that's thru a T400. I'd look into that Cmotorsports kit or the upcoming Wheel to Wheel kit. Either one sounds like a winner.

If you heard my car you would not think it's close to a daily driver.
