Thanks for the input guys. Everything sounds sweet. What do you think would be required to run 11s? I know that this is going to be tough, especially with the weight of the truck, but that's really what I'm shooting for. Also, where should I go to find all of these parts? I think that the turbo would be awesome, but I have no idea where to even find one. Please keep the ideas coming.

Thanks

You might hit a high 11 with 800rwhp in a Hummer H2.It's possible but,the budget to do it would pay for the Hummer plus a ZO6 Vette.

Polka, forget the H2 and put the 30-35K toward making a crew cab 3/4 ton GM pickup with a Duramax Diesel faster. I know of a good truck to start with that's already running high 11's.

Its going to take some big cubic inches, at least an all forged 409 stroker, a 4L80 transmission conversion, a good torque converter, and some boost. I'd lean towards the turbos too. There aren't any blower kits available in stock for that would efficiently make the power you want. A custom twin turbo kit would be awesome.

It can be done. Just pick your shop and tuner carefully. Everyone will be telling you they can build what you need (looking for that $35K of yours), but very few shops will have the experience to build it correctly, much less have it tuned properly.

Good luck. We want to see videos of the finished product.

Lingenfelter had a twin turbo 427 Escalade running in the 12's, but I believe it was more than 35K for that combo, and it is still about a second short of what you're looking for. Check with them, I suppose anything is possible. 11's in anything that heavy is gonna require big HP, and I agree that a Turbo or even Twin tubos' is your best shot. Good luck!

How about weight reduction?

Polka, is there anything in the H2 that you could do without? (maybe a plastic but stock-looking rear bumper, no side steps, etc.)

I think I'll try for the turbo set-up. We may have to go a bit over budget though. I did find that Banks had a 427 twin turbo that pushes 1600rwhp, but that alone runs $38k. I'm going to give them a call to see what we can do.
As far as weight reduction goes, I will be replacing the seats with Momo racing seats so that should save some weight, but the company I work for manufactures H2 accessories so the truck is really just to show off our parts. The performance is just to get the attention from the media, and the owner of the company will be driving the truck almost daily so it will be his toy.

I hear you. The seats are a good start. Anyone make fiberglass body panels yet?

Do you guys think that putting in a 502ci or even a 572ci crate motor would be a better solution? Would it even fit? If it would fit, I would be able to through some juice on that as well right?

Thanks
