I completely understand what your sayin man. lol I guess its not that im getting old like you said, just a change in taste. Hell, me being 16-19, i would have run straight headers and nothing behind it if i could. I didnt care how annoying it was, it would drone out everyone else **** and i thought it was cool. lol Now, i realize how dumb it it when i see other young kids doing it and i realize its much nicer to have a nice exhaust but also tolerable at the same time. lol

i would suggest some kind of muffler. at least a couple bullits. i don't like the sound of straight pipes (very loud). i remember those days tho. i had several trucks w/no exhaust and loved it at the time. guess i'm getting old.

It'll be this loud. THis is open headers. Louder than your description, but not by much. Too bad the camera microphone doesn't pick up the volume level as well, because i literally needed earplugs when I drove it like this.

Ahh the good old days. Years ago I used to have a 73' Regal with a 355 in it, duals with glasspacks dumped way before axle. I loved it. But the loudest daily driver I ever heard was my buddy's 79' 400 Camaro. Headers with the glasspack mufflers that bolt right up to the collectors and nothing else. It was ridiculous, you could not even have a conversation in that car

Lol! Dont get me wrong, i love the noise but there are times when you just wanna cruise or have a conversation and not listen to the damn drone the whole time. My taste went from wanting my exhaust to be as loud as absolutely possible to now liking it mellow for the most part and only loud when you get on it without having the drone in the cab. Much nicer that way!
