Default How high

I started modding my truck with a 14 sec goal. Hopefully I'll meet it toningt. I still have some mods planned, so I guess I need to make it a low 14 or even 13 sec goal. My next mods are Stall (about 2500) shift kit, LT's, and a set of "cleaned up" heads . I figgure that will get me SOLID 14's maybe even low 14's. If by any chance it gets me to the 13's I may decide to spray it . I am kinda scared of nitrous, and never used it, or thought it fair to use, so I figgure I'll ask the Guru's (yall) to see whats safe in a 100k mile motor with just a few mods, and a stock bottom end. I've always thought when I say I have a XXsec truck, I should be able to prove it and not have to go get the bottle filled first, but fast, cheap, easy power.

I recommend you spray a 75-shot of nitrous to get you and the engine used to the punch it gives...What type of nitrous system are you planning on using?? I've been told TNT is one of the best...

I see no reason for your truck not to go in the high 13's with the right combo. It just takes time and loads of money. I might be going to the track tonight, you?

your right there with taking the heads off why not just do the cam too and take advantage of the stall and heads. Honestly the stock cam isnt going to take advantage of the heads, it almost seems pointless in doing them without a cam. Once you get the heads and cam I would expect you to be in the mid 13's NA with a full exhaust and cold air intake. I run high 13's in an ext cab z71 NA.
