Default How the hell do I get the oil fill neck off?

I want to put my oil cap straight on the valve cover, but I can't get the damn oil fill neck off. I try twisting it like the oil cap (looks like it should be the same) and it feels like it's locked in there. What's the trick?

Twist it and try pulling it out with the base at an anlge. It doesn't want to pull straight out.

LOL - I'll try it again when I get home. I'm tempted just to break it off but somehow I don't think that would be a good idea....

I dunno how it is supposed to come off but i've removed 2 and they both have a little locking tab that broke off when I twisted it CCW. I have reinstalled mine now, it doesn't lock in but stays put. Maybe if you pulled the valve cover you could see the little tab from the back side or maybe a way to get it off without breaking it?

mmkay I'll just try and twist the hell out of it. I don't care if I break a clip or anything.
