Default How do you raise the idle ??

after my exhaust and intake were installed the idle dropped from 750rpm to about 550rpm idle and 500rpm in drive....is there a way to *correctly* raise the idle ??

I also read about the "plugs" for the throttle blade air hole for '99-'00 trucks to correct the idle flucuation....would this correct my problem or only make it worse ??, could I "test" this by putting a piece of tape over the air hole at idle ??

Edit isn't an option right now and would kinda like to find a better solution than the "redneck idle adjustment"

there is a little screw on the throttle cable on the side of the TB. just screw it in a little to raise it. or drill the TB blade
