Default How dangerous is a dry nitrous system?

How big is the risk of melting down a motor with a dry kit with less than a 100hp shot?

make sure your fuel system can get enough gas in there. With a dry system injectors and pump can be a good security measure.

It can pop a quarter sized hole in the #5 piston if your MAF doesn't compensate for it and add enough fuel. Ask me how I know. Just because it happened to me, I won't run more than a 75 shot of dry N20, but other guys have not had my problem.

I have been runnining a bare-bones, homemade 100 dry shot for the last 2.5 years with no problems. I did however put in some 42# injectors last year when I did the cam and have done quite a bit of tunning on it to get the afr right. But back before the h/c swap, I ran the dry shot on stock injectors and fuel pump with boltons for a little over a year and a half without any problems.
