Ok i am about down with my cam and stall install. I was parting with a friend and we have a bet when the roads clear here since there is about 2 feet of snow on the ground. He has a 95 z-28 with an LT1 in it with a chip, b&b exhaust, auto trans, and 373. How i have a 99 rcsb z-71 5.3 with a comp cam 212/212 522/522, nelson tune, headers, tt3000, efans, p&p tb and all the free mods. He said i get the leave and we are racing about a 1/4 of a mile. What is the out come going to look like?

 

If you get the leave I doubt he is gonna catch you.

His car should only trap maybe 99-100mph@ best. Most of my clubmembers LT1s only run 4.4-13.8@98-103mph You should trap 95-97mph PLUS you can launch in 4wd and get the leave even if he doesnt give it to you so I say you win or at least stay in front long enough to really **** him off.

Is he gonna run slicks or street tires? If he is on street tires and you go from a dead stop old school 1/4mile race he is done. LT1s make power down low with lots of TQ so he will prolly spin em bad after you leave him in the 60'.
