That's kinda what I was wondering about. I used 8 cylinders. So maybe it doubles since I'm running the resonators before the crossover, and its only seeing pulses from one bank? Not sure how I'd fit 58" resonator tubes under there.

As I understand it this resonator is mounted B4 the Y- pipe and is on one(4 cylinders) side then 'd say the remedy is to add a resonator to the other side. Yes- it makes a difference...………...

Lightbulb Resonator configurations

So far, in all 1/4 wave resonator solutions I have seen, the resonator is mounted at 90 degrees on the exhaust pipes. I know that it does not matter if the resonator has a (soft) bend, but what if the resonator is mounted at a different angle on the exhaust pipes?

See the two configurations on this photo. I wonder if version 1 (my preference) has the same effect as version 2?

Thanks for your insights!

Built one of these this weekend and I am very pleased with the results. Targeted drone at 1,500rpm which happened to be right at 100hz and according to this spreadsheet I found I needed a pipe length of about 42".

It's an OEM muffler off select year dodge rams with a Cummins and 4" tail pipe.

It helps more than I thought it would, there are very limited options for 4" stuff.

Thinking about swapping mufflers after the headers depending on how it sounds. Just looking at what everyone else is running

I highly advise one of these 1/4 wave resonator pipes if you have a lot of drone.
