how big can a 5.3 go?

how large can a 5.3 bore to safely? lookin to get every bit i can out of this engine.

If the block checks out OK, you can go up to the stock bore of an LS1 (3.90"). Add a 4.00" stroke crank and you end up with 382 in^3.
