Just depends on your driving habits!

That is kind of like asking what are the winning Lotto Numbers

Yeah, is a totally subjective question, but I would say with regular maint with quality oil and easy driving, 200k plus shouldn't be a prob and I am going to go one step farther and say 300k plus if using synthetic.

I personally know a guy who bought a new Pontiac Grand Am with a 2.5 4 banger (like back in 1987) He changed the oil at 3k or less with Valvoline dino oil and did regular tuneups etc. At 550,000 it was still running although it was starting to smoke. He retired it because the rest of the car was worn out beyond repair (door hinges, latches etc) My dad bought a new Celebrity back in '87 that had the same 2.5 and it blew up at like 10,000 miles. So, it is pretty much impossible to say just how long an engine will last, but I think it is safe to say that our engines are built with some pretty good architecture so the odds are in your favor at least.

ahh the 87 Celeberty...my first car, got it from my dad with 120000 on it, drove it for a while, no problems at all, then he started driving it 60 miles a day to work and it went down, i think we got it up to 160000 before we sold it..still ran great but the cancer was terminal....
