I just got done watchin the news on Channel 11, and here is what they said bout street racing on the news (from their website, www.khou.com)

HOUSTON (KHOU) -- Drag racers on Houston streets could soon end up in jail.

Police Chief Clarence Bradford announced Wednesday his department will be cracking down on them.

The problem is particularly bad on Westheimer and Westpark on Friday and Saturday nights, according to police.

The chief says over the last few months, his officers wrote 380 citations.

He adds the tickets will continue, but offenders will now be booked and their vehicles could be towed.

Drivers will find a higher police presence and police helicopters to help with the patrol."

Yep... I figured this was pretty important. I sure hope noone gets towed and arrested! Oh well, maybe the cops are just doin this to try and scare us.... I guess we will find out soon.

Its the same thing every few months IMO. The smarter street racers will just give it a few weeks to die down, or just move to another location. I personaly hate going to the populated ares to race, like rankin, brittmore, westpark. I prefer to have a more secluded race when I'm out. The outcome of the race is not everyone business if your in it for money, and with big groups of people around idiots are always around and accident happen that may have been avoided if the idiot wasn't there.
