Default Houston Guys: HRP Sunday?

I think the weather is going to be perfect for this Sunday in Baytown. I want to get out there and get some times with the new fans and headers. Anyone planning on going out? I should be there if there is no rain.
Quick question about the tree. I know if you go on the second yellow light with a full tree, you can get a good R/T, but what about instant green? Anyway to time that? The last two trips out there on Sunday my R/T's were horrible. I plan on going low 14's and I need all the help I can get.
Thanks.

I'll be up there.........Was originally going to ride with a friend to "test and tune" his Subaru, but I might just bring the "heavy chevy". Look out for a black WRX (won't be too many)......and if I bring my ride, it'll be next to it, black 2000 Silverado LT....We'll be there at 5, if things go as planned....

I'll be out there sometime around 5-7. I plan on making 2-3 passes and heading home. Just depends on the crowd.
TX Silverado: Check the link in my sig for pics of my truck.

Hey J... You better be glad I am too far away to come give you a quick spakin' :haha: I wish ya luck though. Let me know what your times are. I went last wed night here cause there was a little cool spell that came through but the temps were only in the high 70s/low80s. Best time of the night was a 14.731@90.73 but it was during elims and let off before the traps so I wouldn break out. Best full out run was a 14.744@92.40 against a modded out '98 rustang. Beat him twice by 2 lengths and even got it on video. I am tring to figure out how to get it on the puter so yall can see it.

BTW.. on a full tree I leave as the second light goes off and third comes on and get low.6xx to high.5xx R/Ts.

I'll post up my times if its not to embarassing. I can't hook at the track just yet, but hopefully the new tires will help some. I think this time I will drop the rear psi to 22-24, remove the passenger headlight, fold in the mirrors, leave the tailgate and spare on, and baby it out of the hole. If I can get traction, it will be on. The temps will be in the 60's tomorrow night!
I have never gone to the track when it was a full tree. Everytime I go it's on a Sunday, and it's instant green. I have no clue when to leave for a good R/T without redlighting. Should be interesting.
