Default hooker exhaust

Ok i have 3" exhaust. Longtube Pacesetter Headers, ORY, with a 3" Hooker Aerochamber muffler, with a turndown.

All ive ever heard is that they are "so loud".

its actually very mellow sounding. quite quiet in my opinion.

Amazing airflow though!!

if i were to get a cutout and put it before the muffler, its going to be much louder, but some of it is still going to go through the muffler correct?

A little bit sill still go through the muff, but not much.

Give the Hooker muffler about 500-1000 miles it will get louder. I almost pulled the AeroChamber off my Camaro. Right about the time I was looking into buying a different muffler it started getting louder.

Yeah, plus running the open headers will make most anything sound quiet. LOL

I also stuck a cutout on the Z. I need to get the Silvy broken in so I can start doing some light modding. First things first...Exhuast for sure.

Did you make the turndown before or after the axle? I am having mine done this wknd hopefully and after reading on here it seems after axle is quieter.

I would recommend dump after the axle or all the way to the back if you're getting a cutout. Get an electric cutout and you can go to any position between nice and quiet to as loud and mean.....
