Can't help you with the motor mounts but this is where my 235 amp alt. came from.

The link is to the 200 amp, because that's what you mentioned, but they have others available. Just look around the site.

The stock motor mounts are pretty good....I'm not sure I'd change 'em out unless you're gonna go with solid mounts, but solid mounts beat the hell out of the frame and cause a buzz throughout the entire truck. you may be able to find poly inserts for the mounts but they'll still cause a pretty good buzz

Grab a crossmember out of an early 2500LD....the frame's are the same as the 1/2 tons and it'll drop right it (you'll need to drill new holes in the frame)

Where can you buy the solid mounts or are they custom fabricated???

Thanks,

Custom fabbed are all I'm familiar with....but be 100% sure you REALLY REALLY want them before you do it, the whole smoothness of a vehicle goes away once they are installed. Remember too that there are guys with 800-1000hp race trucks running the stock mounts (parish8)

Ohio Generator is the best place for an alt upgrade. I have bought various alts from them in the tune of 300amps with adjustable external voltage regulators and digital displays. I was a competitor in the dB Drag arena for years and Ohio Generator is the dominant player.
