help wit RADIX 4.8 hp numpers please

Default help wit RADIX 4.8 hp numpers please

hey guys,i think if i don't get a new motor that it will have to be the radix.i looked into the ati but am thinking the radix now.what kind of rwhp do you peeps think that 4.8 should do.i'll have a tune, cam, gears.is a 13 sec out of the question. thanks

nope, most guys here in regular cab with a radix run right in the 13 area. if you did the radix with the tune smaller pulley and a shift kit and maybe a stall you would be set for low 13's high12 probably.

i remember there was a guy on here awhile ago that had a regcab 4.8 with a radix running 12s

Please takes the Caps Lock button off!

People use that for YELLING and it makes your post difficult to read. Generally speaking I amd many of my friends wont even reply to posts typed all in caps. Just an FYI.


As to hitting 13s with a Radix, yes it is possible but it may take a lil work. Don't just expect to slap i ton and instantly go 13s. Sometimes it requires some other mods or tuning to do it. Just depends on the truck. Like the SS in my area that only runs 13.8 with one.

ya i have a 4.8 with a radix. I made 435rwhp with 10lb of boost and went 12.6 @110 in the 1/4 with practically no 3rd gear. but one work a advice. Dont expect the pistons to last too long when pushin that kind of power. Then you have to go and build a forged short block for the stupid thing and throw some nos on it.
