Default help with weird KR

I did some more logs and it seems like Im getting some KR at weird times. When Im in OD or a higher gear and Im letting off the throttle Im getting aywhere from 1-4* of KR in the lower 1400 .60 cell and 2-4* in the 1600 .40 to .52 cells. Sometimes it doesnt even appear to be related to TPS, but its always going about 50 mph or so.
When I try to reproduce it (speed, TPS, Gear, etc) I cant. Its pretty weird. IT was doing it around 2800 to 3200 and I added to the VE table in those areas and took a little timing and didnt see it, but now I have this.
Its looks like as the timing is going up, as I let off the throttle sometimes I'll have a huge hit of KR??
I have been driving around like this for a while. Could this be that detrimental?

Mine does this also. I don't really worry about KR if it's small, and not at WOT.

I added a little more fuel to the VE table (these same areas are the only ones that are positive... up to +6) I also looked at the spark tables and in these areas the advance is pretty drastic. Like from 17* to 26* in the very next cell. I smoothed and lowered it just a bit. Im pretty sure Im running horribly rich, but at least its somewhat safe. Im thinking that it may be the temps so I'll play it safe until I can get the FMIC up. Anyone else ever have this problem? Its in those cells sometimes and not others. I cant even reproduce it.

I have KR at low throttle and 50mph in 4th gear and 1700RPM. I think it is a dead spot in the cam. WOT is no problem. Im looking at a converter to bring the engine RPM into the range of the cam.

Since the LS1 and having such a high comp ratio if its 75+ Im getting audible detonation at like in 1st and 2nd gear and thats its. The fix is putting about 6-7 gallons of 100 octane AV gas in! Hopefully the LS1 fans and 34" rad will fix it.I know it will!

Your situation is clearly based on too much timing for your octane in some areas. Mine is strange. Its there one time and not the next. Its never on accel only decel and only at low RPM's @ around 50 mph. Its really weird. I took out a little timing in those cells and it looked like it helped a bit, but then came back. Since it is decel, should I just put the timing back in and write it off as false KR? Its in the 1.4 and 1.6 columns. usually .20 to .60 gms/ sec. I would really appreciate hearing from others that have experienced this. Black Blown experienced the same thing and wrote it off as false. I was able to add 3* of timing across the board and saw no KR on accel. Its just these cells that are giving me problems. The road seems clear, but gravel in a certain portion was mentioned as well.

My truck does it too. KR is fairly common with forced induction when letting of the gas.

I have KR like this also. Cruise control on 55 to 65 mph. It's actually gotten better with the cam install and my latest logs. With just the cruise letting off the gas I would sometimes see 4 degrees. Still there with about 1 to 2 degrees. I haven't really worried about it.

Damn. Maybe I should add all the timing back into those cells.

If you send me a log with the KR you are getting I may be able to help you.
My wifes Tahoe did the same thing. PM me for E-mail address.
