Help, Truck won't start, electrical issue.

I was just changing the switch for my boost controller and forgot to disconnect the negative terminal first, now it will crank but the fuel pump is not comming on and the fuel gauge as well as a couple others don't move but still illuminate?
The security light in the message center flashed a few times , but I thought that was normal.
Been pulling fuses and checking a couple with a continuity tester and see that the fuel pump fuse does not show continuity, neither does another fuse.
Left my damm meter at work.
HELP please!!
I know it has to be something simple. :bang: :bang: DOHHH!!

Uhm, no continuity means blown fuse. Replace the fuse(s) that don't have continuity!!

These are the large block type fuses for the fuel pump and the daytime running lamps. I'll check a couple more on accesories that still work to see if they have continuity.

The horn works and that fuse does not show continuity either, they must be switches/relays not fuses.
Anyway I found the bad fuse, it was the (ECM B-20amp) just to the left of the (F/PMP) relay or whatever the hell those things are.
It all works fine now, thank god! :)

Thanks, I'm soo freaking releived right now. Starting pulling out all the test equipment for a night of serious horseshit! :jest:

What the hell does a (ECM B) fuse do anyway???

RoninsDenali 04-12-2006 10:24 PM

ECM B, as far as i can remember powers the PCM (in conjunction with PCM 1) as well as the fuel pump itself. Atleast i remember someone saying the fuel pump. I'd check my wiring diagram, but its in my truck and its raining out :judge:
